Catholic Services Appeal 2024

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

 Easter blessings to you and your family as we continue to celebrate this joyous Easter season! As I reflect on all God has showered upon our parish this is an appropriate time to thank you for your generosity toward the life and sustainability of being good Christian stewards. Your commitment to worship and prayer, the hours that you volunteered, as well as your financial support is truly a blessing.

As we continue the season of Easter joy, I would like to share with you that the annual Catholic Services Appeal for 2024 is now underway! This year’s Catholic Services Appeal theme is “With Eyes Fixed on Jesus” which we can with joy proclaim the gospel message with courage and strength! I invite you to reflect on God’s many gifts that are showered upon us each day of our lives: the gift of Jesus, Mary, the Mother of God, the communion of Saints, and faith in the One He sent.

Like all parishes in the archdiocese, we benefit from the Catholic Services Appeal (CSA) in so many ways. Our Chief Shepherd, Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron, describes the importance of CSA in the life of the local Church. The enclosed CSA brochure further details all the valuable ministries, programs, and services that allow us to open doors so we can witness Christ to our friends and neighbors. This year the archbishop is asking our parish to contribute.

$ 343,131.

Our parish’s CSA goal is our share of funding for so many vital programs. Our donations to the CSA have provided a means to reach out and minister not only to the faithful of our Archdiocese but also to our neighbors who are poor and vulnerable. If we exceed our target by 12% ($41,000) we will be able to install the long-awaited electronic handicapped exterior doors at the church and chapel. If we do not meet the target, the shortfall will be taken from our offertory donations.

The CSA appeal process begins during the season of Easter when all Catholics renew their baptismal promises and the Feast of Pentecost when we celebrate the descent of the Holy Spirit upon our Church to ignite a passion for discipleship.

If we all attempt to carry our share of the monetary responsibility, we will be successful in our endeavor. Thank you for your prayerful and generous support for this particularly important appeal. I am profoundly grateful!

Yours in Christ,

Rev. Mark S. Brauer

Pastor / Moderator
